The FIRST ANNUAL Englewood Scavenger Hunt

This event was conceived and organized by Brian Farquhar, and continues the tradition of summer-time car events organized by an ad-hoc group that likes to create fun, light-hearted activities.

By any measure, this was a huge hit and a lot of fun. The venue at 'Chances Casino' was a brilliant choice too as an event destination, with the Casino staff giving us privacy to make announcements and award prizes for the event. And they didn't make too much of a fuss when an overly enthusiastic member of our group bolted through an emergency exit into the parking lot in search of an elusive tie-breaking licence plate number.

Since the event was based on photos of the scavenger hunt items, it seemed natural to put together some sort of a fun record of what we were up to for a couple of hours on that Sunday morning.

So, here it is. We didn't get images from everyone that participated, but still managed to put together almost seven minutes of images and movies. With sound overlay, which makes it all more interesting.

The theme of course was super-sleuthing / secret agents / spys and all that sort of '70s costume thing. And most of us were very much in costume as you may remember and will soon see. To empasize the costumed era of the super-spy, I have included the opening sequence of the epic 'Goldfinger' with James Bond and the always-charming Pussy Galore.

So without further delay, turn up your speaker volume and click one of the two links below. The movie is about 84 megabytes in size so it may take a minute to load. Your patience will be rewarded.
