Frankfurt, Germany
Up this morning, breakfast, then down the walk to the Altstadt for the four of us. We wandered, visited churches, eventually boarded a hopon-hopoff bus. All four of us up to the top level of the open-topped double decker bus. Neat.
An hour later, an excellent lunch in the 'Platz' or square of the old town, then a hike about for a bit with Shiela looking for some tourist bargains, then a walk back to the hotel via the river. A bit of a nap in the afternoon, our friends having the predictable jet-lag, then an unexpectedly pleasant dinner in a little family restaurant a half block from the hotel. Good German schnitzel-fare, with wine, and two shared deserts. Then, home to bed, a travelling day tomorrow.
