Vancouver, B.C. to London England

Up and ready early, skipped breakfast in favor of an early checkin and then a leisurely snack at the airport. One of the things in life that I really love is airline food (no! I'm serious, it's like a picnic) and being too full before the flight spoils it a bit.

Boarded the Air Transat flight, nonstop to London (we hope so!) and got to our seats, settling in. Just before the doors closed a late arrival rushed up and announced that Jan was in his seat. We checked our tickets, he checked his, and yes - the seat was double booked. Jan was in possesion of it however, so the flight attendants had to deal with the latecomer, whom they eventually placed to his satisfaction. That was a first for us, double booking a seat, but it all ended well.

Then up in the air by about 1:30pm and we were off into the clouds, heading north and east, over Hudson's Bay, Greenland, Iceland, the north Atlantic, bound for London Gatwick.

Add the nine hour time difference (London was not on daylight-savings time), and that was how our evening was spent.
