Redding, Ca to Lacey, Wa

On the road by 8:00am again, headed north.

Car running well again, but evidence of shorting in the electric Overdrive showing up again. Its in the switch, the San Pedro guy was right, and if I keep pulling down on the OD lever it will stay in gear. When I let it go then the OD acts up, the rpm jumping up and down by about 700rpm which is very annoying. Sometimes, after a gas stop and shutting the engine off, it would work well until the next stop. Sometimes it wouldn't.

A harder day on both Jan and I, but we made it to Lacy, Washington, for the evening. Thankfully, we made it safely.

On the mountainous stretch of I-5 out of Redding this morning, I had to stop at a rest area as the throttle kept sticking. I sprayed the linkage with de-greaser (the 'weasel piss' of our Europe trip) and the problem was solved. Unfortunately, the OD unit was not as easily fixed.
