Tonight we are in Laredo, Spain, again. One more day and night here, we were so taken with it last night.
It is an excellent internet connection here, so we have been getting caught up a bit. And we went for a long (3 hour) walk along the beach this morning after a lovely breakfast in the hotel. Then back to the hotel for a nap this afternoon after a storm blew in here and it started to rain.
The wind howls outside now, the rain slashes, the clouds scud along, the visibility is down to about 3 feet or so. And we're just glad that we had the good fortune to not be on the road today. That would have been stressful. But, after all, it is January.
So we're warm and dry, watching from inside, but not much to tell you about today. So we'll get ready for dinner now and sign off.
One thing of note, we have decided that this journey is going to be a coastal-route exploration of the countries that we travel to. So our next stop will be somewhere along the coast, probably not inland until we get to Italy. But that's a world away and we'll be like Scarlet O'Hara on that one, We'll worry about that tomorrow.
