Got together with Alison for lunch today. Walked about 20 minutes to the East Campus and met at the Whole Foods store in their lunch area. Whole Foods is sort of like Choices, North Carolina style, and the sign is our only picture today. The rain god was mad at us all day today.
A great chat over soup and coffee about University life, goals, classes, and professors.
Then a walk back to the West Campus where our hotel is. Alison went off to rowing practice while Jan and I watched the election, saw Obama win, such wonderful news. I hope for all our sakes that he is the man he appears to be. He reminds me a lot of JFK in his speach delivery, and the components of hope and committment that ring out. I so hope that the promise is fulfilled and that he doesn't share JFK's fate at too young an age and with so much good yet to be done.
