Day 40:
A winding-down day after a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner party last night.
Lots of cleanup, then shopping and getting last-minute things for the girl's apartment (flat) and vacuuming and washing and drying and folding and putting-away. Mom and dad stuff that we felt really good about doing.
In the evening the girls came home from work and we had turkey and ham leftovers from yesterday, and a chicken that we bought already cooked in case the guests were famished. We were joined at dinner by Kate and Matt, the girl's flat-mates from New Zealand, saw pictures of their world travels, and had a cozy evening at home.
Said goodbye to the girls, as they leave early in the morning for work and we only see them for moments. Sad to say goodbye, but very happy for the over-the-top holiday that we have had with them for nearly three weeks. Christmas is coming though, and we are bringing them home for the holidays, and the plan is that we will spend some time together again then. After that, if the economy isn't bust and the creek don't rise, we will be in London again late in May of next year.
Some pictures of the girl's flat. It has been a wonderful visit, all we could have hoped for.
