A sunny day and with adventurous spirits, we set off to navigate the London tubes. Met Tara at Green Park Station where she escorted us around Soho and Carnaby Street, lunching at the 'Shakespeare's Head' Pub. Then off to Piccadilly Circus, 10 Downing Street, Trafalgar Square with statues everywhere! So many Kodak moments. Dennis took 226 pictures today!
Rested at Inn in the Park in St. James' Place, a lovely green space with ducks and swans swimming about then off to ooh and ah over more heritage buildings.
Went to Covent Gardens, a small but elegant market atmosphere where we had dinner with Tara at 'The Crusting Pipe'. Dennis finally had his bangers and mash.
Home on the tube (getting to be quite the pros now) very tired but so absolutely amazed at all the sights we are seeing. I think we could walk around the little part of London we explored today for weeks and still not see it all. Decided that although we still have a couple of weeks here, we will definitely have to have a bit of a plan if we want to get a taste of most of the well known areas.
