Day 6: At the Sylvan Lake Library, we found pictures and a history of the late 1930s when Mom and Dad met. The infamous pier and diving board was still in place until 1958. I didn't realize how instrumental the Wilkinson family (Vi McDonald (nee Wilkinson) introduced Mom & Dad) was in the early development of Sylvan Lake.

By Day 6 of our adventure, we felt more rested; got packing and unpacking car down to 5 mins.; now experts scouting out clean, inexpensive, ground floor motel rooms; got GPS up and running today - wow!!! It really works!!

Cultivated wheat fields really do stretch endlessly for miles and miles and miles! Found it fascinating that all of a sudden in the middle of a huge field, there would sprout an oil pump or perhaps a grain elevator.

Saw Badlands near Drumheller and the Tyrell Dinosaur Museum at Drumheller. Dennis felt 'quite petite' standing next to a dinosaur leg. Stopped in Medicine Hat for the night, and you guessed it, who could possibly miss a picture of the World's Largest Teepee!
